I'm still amazed I ran across it. Called Jerry Purcell up in Washington as soon as I saw it. (He's also one of the "3"). Jer & I got to Phu Cat in December, '67. I think Tony got there around March of '68. Sure could have used him during Tet!!! Still can't believe it was 40 years ago. Amazing. Purcell sent me some recent pics of himself. Man, he got old! I still look the same as in '67! (right). So here's a big "Howdy" to the Italian stallion. Hey Romeo, you still got the same wavy black hair??? Sure you do! All the best to everyone. I left in Dec. and went to Germany.I was in C.E.S. and was an equipment operator. I was mostly on a front end loader building bunkers around the barracks but went off base alot to do earth work for the army. We built roads and repaired the runway after motar attacks.40 yrs. ago ,its hard to remember. When I ran a bulldozer I had my Texas flag flying behind my seat. Ive got tons of photos but they are all on slides except for a few. I'm not a geek so I don't know how to put them on line to share with every one.
